Untold Stories: Elspeth kicks off the comic giant's licensed collaboration with Magic. According to <a href="https://www.ign.com/articles/magic-the-gathering-untold-stories-elspeth-brings-the-iconic-franchise-to-dark-horse-comics">IGN</a>, It is a four-part miniseries focusing on <a class="edhrecp__link-a" content="Elspeth Tirel" href="#" target="_blank">Elspeth Tirel</a>'s descent into the Theroan underworld and her search for a means to escape its clutches.

The writer for Untold Stories: Elspeth is Dan Watters, who recently wrote TMNT: Shredder. According to Dark Horse Comics, here is the summary for the miniseries:

Says Jackie Jones, Magic's Vice President for Creative, on this collaboration and specifically about Elspeth's part in it:

Another quote from Roy Graham, Senior Story Lead for Magic: The Gathering with Wizards of the Coast, elaborates on Elspeth's overall popularity as a character in the game:

In the past, Wizards of the Coast has collaborated with comic companies such as IDW to bring their stories to a visual storytelling medium. However, licensing issues imply that we won't likely see any new characters from the comics on cards, at least in the near future (incidentally, this is part of why Wizards killed <a class="edhrecp__link-a" content="Dack Fayden" href="#" target="_blank">Dack Fayden</a> during War of the Spark).
