Since then, Spider-Man has appeared in thousands of Marvel comics, and several blockbuster movies, like Spider-Man: No Way Home, which grossed almost $2 billion worldwide in 2021.

The Marvel's Spider-Man set features many prominent characters from the Spider-Man universe, including many incarnations of Spider-Man himself. Which of these cards has the most combo potential? Let's find out!

#10: Aunt May

Aunt May

Number of Combos: 23

Aunt MayAunt May adds redundancy as a soul sister effect, named after cards like Soul WardenSoul Warden and Soul's AttendantSoul's Attendant. Aunt May is perfect to counteract life payments from Warren SoultraderWarren Soultrader, and to counteract damage taken to trigger Darien, King of KjeldorDarien, King of Kjeldor.

Aunt May also helps with cards that trigger from lifegain, such as Heliod, Sun-CrownedHeliod, Sun-Crowned or Ajani's PridemateAjani's Pridemate. If you're running a deck heavy on creatures and/or creature tokens, Aunt May can gain you plenty of life to dump into Aetherflux ReservoirAetherflux Reservoir to fling a large amount of damage easily.

#9: Chameleon, Master of Disguise

Chameleon, Master of Disguise

Number of Combos: 35

Chameleon, Master of DisguiseChameleon, Master of Disguise, quite unsurprisingly, is a CloneClone style effect, with the benefit of ignoring the legend rule as it retains its original name. Chameleon can serve as a second Felidar GuardianFelidar Guardian allowing you to blink both infinitely.

You can also make Chameleon a copy of Grim PoppetGrim Poppet to infinitely put and remove -1/-1 counters from each of them. This can be paired with Nest of ScarabsNest of Scarabs to make infinite creature tokens. Chameleon can also become a copy of Mirror-Mad PhantasmMirror-Mad Phantasm, allowing you to mill your library for recursion strategies.

#8: Strength of Will

Strength of Will

Number of Combos: 45

Strength of WillStrength of Will is the perfect card to pair with Walking BallistaWalking Ballista and a counter increaser like Ozolith, the Shattered SpireOzolith, the Shattered Spire. You can remove a +1/+1 counter from Walking Ballista, having it target itself and put two +1/+1 counters on it. The extra counter can be removed to deal damage to any target at will. Strength of Will also gives Walking Ballista indestructible, making it harder to remove if Strength of Will resolves.

There are a plethora of other options for Ozolith, including Doubling SeasonDoubling Season, and a few alternatives to Walking Ballista, like TriskelionTriskelion. Strength of Will also pairs with Spike FeederSpike Feeder for an infinite combo with Aetherflux ReservoirAetherflux Reservoir.

#7: With Great Power...

With Great Power...

Number of Combos: 55

With Great Power...With Great Power... serves as redundancy for either PariahPariah or Pariah's ShieldPariah's Shield, redirecting damage from you to a particular creature. This creates an explosive infinite damage combo with Coalhauler SwineCoalhauler Swine if you give it indestructible, dealing damage to your opponents and then to Coalhauler Swine instead of you each iteration.

With Great Power... can also direct a large amount of damage from Wheel of MisfortuneWheel of Misfortune to a creature like Brash TaunterBrash Taunter, which can then deal damage to an opponent instead.

#6: Lyla, Holographic Assistant

Lyla, Holographic Assistant

Number of Combos: 77

Lyla, Holographic AssistantLyla, Holographic Assistant puts +1/+1 counters on creature(s) as you draw cards. This creates a dynamic duo with Benthic BiomancerBenthic Biomancer for infinite looting in an extremely easy way to fetch any other cards you want.

Lyla can also create tokens using Basking BroodscaleBasking Broodscale, where the Eldrazi Spawn can be sacrificed to trigger FecundityFecundity to repeat the loop. The counters can also be placed on Walking Ballista to deal damage, which can then draw cards thanks to CuriosityCuriosity.

#5: Madame Web, Clairvoyant

Madame Web, Clairvoyant

Number of Combos: 78

Top-deck effects are popular in Magic, and are especially essential for one card in particular. Madame Web, ClairvoyantMadame Web, Clairvoyant adds another piece of redundancy to long established Sensei's Divining TopSensei's Divining Top combos, allowing you to cast Top from the top of your library after it puts itself there.

There are a variety of ways to cover Sensei's Divining Top's mana cost, from cost reducers like Jhoira's FamiliarJhoira's Familiar to other trigger effects like Glaring FleshrakerGlaring Fleshraker. #4: Norman Osborn // Green Goblin

Norman Osborn

Number of Combos: 89

Norman OsbornNorman Osborn is part of a new mechanic in Magic, where you have a transforming double-faced card but you can cast either side. While Norman himself isn't very useful from a combo perspective, Green Goblin is incredibly useful for casting cards from your graveyard. This includes giving cards mayhem, which lets you cast cards you've discarded that turn from your graveyard.

This mayhem granting works perfect for Shrieking DrakeShrieking Drake, which you can discard to Mind Over MatterMind Over Matter to untap an Island to then cast Shrieking Drake from your graveyard. Green Goblin also provides a reduction to these spells, making Squee, the ImmortalSquee, the Immortal or Ebondeath, DracolichEbondeath, Dracolich easier to cast.

#3: Spider-Man, Peter Parker

Spider-Man, Peter Parker

Number of Combos: 102

Spider-Man, Peter ParkerSpider-Man, Peter Parker is an Ajani's PridemateAjani's Pridemate on steroids, putting a +1/+1 counter on a creature when you gain life and giving the creature indestructible. This can be very handy for protecting a creature from getting destroyed, and of course for many combo shenanigans.

Giving Walking BallistaWalking Ballista or Shalai and HallarShalai and Hallar lifelink allows you to sling infinite damage with ease, or you can use Spike FeederSpike Feeder for a simple infinite lifegain combo. Spider-Man can also counteract the persist ability of Kitchen FinksKitchen Finks thanks to it gaining you life each iteration.

#2: Anti-Venom, Horrifying Healer

Anti-Venom, Horrifying Healer

Number of Combos: 127

Anti-Venom, Horrifying HealerAnti-Venom, Horrifying Healer can work in similar ways to Strength of Will with some minor adjustments. You can give Anti-Venom the ability of Walking Ballista thanks to Agatha's Soul CauldronAgatha's Soul Cauldron, allowing you to then perform the same combo using Anti-Venom instead.

You can also replace a counter increaser with a damage increaser (think City on FireCity on Fire) for a similar combo. Anti-Venom's first ability can also be useful, returning cards like Peregrine DrakePeregrine Drake and bouncing Anti-Venom with Cloudstone CurioCloudstone Curio.

#1: Gwenom, Remorseless

Gwenom, Remorseless

Number of Combos: 268

Gwenom, RemorselessGwenom, Remorseless is easily the most useful combo card of the set, giving you a Bolas's CitadelBolas's Citadel on a body that can be accessible in the command zone. Gwenom and Bolas's Citadel can easily work for Sensei's Divining TopSensei's Divining Top, MortuaryMortuary and Beacon of ImmortalityBeacon of Immortality combos with varying results and utility.

Gwenom is also a way to cheat out combo pieces, allowing you to easily execute your combo of choice. Gwenom's life payments can be easily negated with Aetherflux ReservoirAetherflux Reservoir or more specialized cards, including Golem's HeartGolem's Heart or Haliya, Guided by LightHaliya, Guided by Light.

Gwenom is an extremely useful card in any deck, and should be an automatic consideration for black decks and black combos alike.
