On Wednesday, May 14th, Japanese pop-culture website Famitsu revealed three new Secret Lair drops themed after Final Fantasy. Rakuten Books will sell these drops in Japan on June 10th. This translates across time zones to Monday, June 9th, at 9 AM Pacific Time, or Noon Eastern Time. Meanwhile, we have renders for the cards from each drop, even though we don't yet have a concrete translation for the reworked names of these cards. Nevertheless, let's take a look!
Secret Lair x Final Fantasy: Game Over
This Secret Lair drop focuses on pivotal villainous moments from the Final Fantasy video game series. Try and see if you can guess each one, Final Fantasy fans!
Meanwhile, the cards represented in this drop are:
- Day of JudgmentDay of Judgment, reskinned as "Spira's Punishment" from FFX
- Temporal ExtortionTemporal Extortion, reskinned as "Absorb into Time" from FFVIII

The next Secret Lair drop in the three-drop series focuses on the weapons of major characters from the games. This drop contains:

Secret Lair x Final Fantasy: Grimoire
The final drop in the Secret Lair x Final Fantasy drop series is called Grimoire. It features spells cast by heroes of the series.
The cards in the Grimoire drop are:

There is also a promotional copy of Gilded LotusGilded Lotus in this collection (with art from FFVII), also sold by Rakuten Books during the drop. This promo will be included if you buy select bundles from this drop series.

This brings us to the pricing information for these Secret Lair x Final Fantasy drops. All of these drops will be available for $29.99 in nonfoil and $39.99 in rainbow foil. Additionally, bundles containing each drop in the series, in each finish, will be available in both English and Japanese for $199.99, while a layered bundle with both of those aforementioned bundles will be available for $399.99.
It is important to keep in mind that these drops will be snatched up quickly due to a limited-print run model, so if you want to get your hands on these Secret Lair drops, know that they come out on Monday, June 9th at 9 AM Pacific Time (or Noon Eastern Time). If you want these, plan accordingly!
