Update (1:15 PM EST): Flower Power is now officially sold out.
On Thursday, September 25th, at 9 AM Pacific Time (or 12 Noon Eastern), Wizards of the Coast opened the Secret Lair Chaos Vault once more. In the Vault this time is a set of basic lands called "Flower Power". The interesting part of this drop is that when it dropped, and at the time of writing, the set of basics is only $1.
Each basic land has art by illustrator Ashley Dreyfus. The lands are nostalgic in their visual graphic design. Therein, they hearken back to the sort of designs you'd see on posters in the 1960s or early 1970s. Sort of a Yellow Submarine meets Schoolhouse Rock type of deal, to paraphrase one of the other writers for EDHREC.
What's more, regarding that $1 price point, the lairs are the same price in foil and in nonfoil. This means that these are apt to be snagged quickly by people looking to find something cool and novel for their collection or deck.
This article is going to run pretty short, I'm afraid. However, to make that short story even shorter, you can pick these up on the Secret Lair webstore by clicking here.
And now, let's vamp just a little further by sending the microphone to you, dear readers! Are you excited for this new Secret Lair Chaos Vault drop? Did you expect it to be so inexpensive? Will this drop go up in price before long? We don't know! That's rooted purely in speculation. Nevertheless, does this new $1 drop set some kind of interesting precedent for Wizards of the Coast to eventually follow up on? Place your proverbial bets now! And, as always, sound off in the comments below!
